It’s the end of another month, and I’m here with a round-up of a few of the things I’ve been enjoying over the last several weeks. Links accompany everything. Also check out the video I made on this topic down at the bottom of the post.
Let’s get started!
1. Favorite Tabletop Game
Marrying Mr. Darcy
I got to play my sister’s copy of this game this month, and it is just as adorable and funny as you would imagine.
If you can quote the entire A&E miniseries like me, you’re sure to love playing as one of the female characters from Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice as you compete to increase your desirability with the marriageable men in the game.
2. Favorite Mobile Game
The Room: Old Sins
This is the fourth installment in “The Room” series from Fireproof Games, and I’ve enjoyed every single one.
I definitely recommend finding these on your mobile platform of choice, rather than buying it on Steam, because these games make use of the touchscreen format in such a unique and satisfying way.
Intricate puzzle boxes and arcane secrets, explored in a tactile way through your phone screen make this series really stand out among other mobile games.
3. Favorite Toy
Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Sweet Manners Tea Set
My 13-month-old daughter has been having so much fun with this cute little tea set.
The teapot itself is her favorite. It sings and talks and lights up. It even makes pouring noises when you tip it over!
It’s a good first step into imaginative play for her, as she pours tea directly from the pot into her Winnie the Pooh’s mouth, which is super cute.
We actually received two of these as gifts for her birthday, so we passed the second one along to her little cousin.
4. Favorite YouTube Channel
Annie Smith
Annie Smith is one of my new favorite channels since YouTube recommended one of her videos to me. (She doesn’t know I’m saying this btw)
She sets herself apart from other planner channels because she doesn’t just post Plan With Me videos and Flipthroughs, but she focuses on the practicality of how to actually use your own planner.
5. Favorite Household Product
Coredy Robot Vacuum
I’ve been thinking about getting a robot vacuum for a while, and I finally pulled the trigger this month. I got a less expensive brand, but it’s working great for us, and it is life-changing!
Cleaning the floors is my absolute least favorite chore, and shedding huskies and a crawling toddlers don’t mix. But now that we have a robot to take care of the sweeping for us on a nightly schedule, my floors have literally never looked better, and it’s so easy!
