It’s another month gone! Time for me to share some of my favorite things!
And don’t forget to check out the companion video here.
1. Favorite Christmas Album
Amy Grant, Home for Christmas
This one is a classic, and it’s been keeping me going this month while I’m ticking down the hours at work before the holiday starts.
Even if you don’t know Amy Grant for her Christian music since the 1970s, you’ll probably recognize her recordings of Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree or It’s The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year. And there are no bad songs on this album!
Linking this is a little bit futile because this paper doesn’t seem to be available anymore, but I wanted to prove it to you.
This is the paper I used all last year for printing my inserts. Whenever I used it to print anything else, people would always comment on how nice it felt.
For now, I’m stuck in something less “Super Premium” but I’ll be keeping my eye out for higher quality paper next time.
3. Favorite Gift for My Daughter
School Bus
One of the many things Agnes has been into lately, are buses.
Oh. My. Goodness.
Whenever she sees a bus on the street, she’ll scream and point, “BUS!!!”
If you ask her what the wheels on the bus do, she’ll start to dance and sing, “round round”. She knows all the other verses too.
So it wasn’t hard to decide to get her a bus for Christmas, but it was surprisingly difficult to find a bus toy at Target.
I’m really happy with what we found though, because she already has two giant bags of Mega Bloks, and she’s starting to be coordinated enough to use them.
Don’t you just love it when you find a gift that just fits someone perfectly?
That’s how I feel about this gift for my sister and brother-in-law.
They’re really into tabletop games, and with a zany title like “War with the Evil Power Master”, what could be better?
This game and others in its series are based off the Choose Your Own Adventure books from the 80s and 90s, and can be played with one or more players.
5. Favorite Gift for Myself
Thank you!
I’ve been gazing longingly at this Amazon listing ever since the Mildliner brush pens were released earlier this year, and my Grandma got them for me for Christmas!
They’re exactly the same colors as the original highlighters, but now they come in two awesome new tips! The brush pen is a load of fun of course, but I also really like the fine tip, which is small enough to actually write with. (The “fine” tip on the highlighter version is more like a broad marker.)
If you’ve been back and forth about these for a long time like I was, I’m sure you’ll love them.
