I’ve been getting so many compliments on my nails since I discovered my new favorite nail polish hack:
peel-off gel base coat!
These nails last at least two weeks without chipping, and when I’m finally ready to remove them, they peel right off with no acetone soaking, and very little damage.
Here are all the supplies and steps that I use…
(I get a small commission for anything you purchase using my affiliate links.)

- Cut, file, and buff
- One coat each of dehydrator and primer
- One coat of peel-off basecoat, (don’t apply all the way to the edges)
- Cure with an LED UV lamp
- Two coats of base coat (cure after each)
- At least two coats of color (cure after each)
- (Optional) Blooming nail art
- Apply a coat of blooming gel
- Use a dotting tool to add color to the wet nail
- Once the dots have spread as much as you like, cure the nail to seal the design
- One coat of top coat
- Enjoy your beautiful, long-lasting manicure!
