Another month has come around, and with it, subtle changes to make my planner work better for me. Come take a look.

I love having a family photo front and center every time I open my planner.

These colorful divider tabs were inspired by my DIY Happy Planner Micro Notes from July. To be honest, they’re a little bit garish for my taste, but they sure get the job done.

I’m not disappointed with my habit tracker progress so far.

The very front section of my planner, I call my “every day” section, because I make a point of visiting these pages every single day.

I’m not always a monthly tracker kind of person, but I’m trying to work on adopting morning and evening routines, so having the steps listed out for me helps keep me on track.

As you can see, I’m doing better in some areas than in others. This printable is from Peanuts Planner Co.

I actually don’t use this calendar as often as I thought I would.

I decided to switch to a simpler monthly layout this time. I couldn’t decide on a color scheme this month so I closed my eyes and reached into a jar of pens. This is what I came up with. I would never have chosen this combo on my own, but it is actually my Alma Mater’s colors.

This insert is also from Peanuts Planner Co.

The MySummerTouch MonWeekly is brilliant.

Instead of separate weeklies, I’m trying out the MonWeekly system from My Summer Touch. I wasn’t sure at first how I was going to like these, but I actually really do. I have quite a lot of space on each week’s foldout to plan a bit creatively. I even have room for some simple dailies as well.

You can’t journal if you don’t have your journal with you!

This little notebook (from The Little Red House) is stuck in the back of my Filofax. It’s just exactly the same height and width as the binder, so I just keep it tucked here and pull it out when I need to use it.

I’ve been meaning to try long-form journaling more ever since I saw Carie Harling’s video about it months ago, and I’ve found that including a few minutes of journaling time as part of my new evening routine is giving me really good clarity.

A full planner flipthrough is now live over on my YouTube channel right now, so be sure to check that out, and subscribe! 😉
