I've never been so excited for a year to end
I'm generally sentimental to a fault. Even when something terrible is ending I still can't help but focus on the end instead of the new beginning. Every New Year's Eve, when we count down to midnight, I can't help but feel sad that a year is ending and we'll never get that time back...

Even though I know that we're nowhere near out of the woods (especially here in California where cases are spiking and we have 0 ICU beds available) I'm still so excited for the promise of a new year and a fresh start.
