I usually like to start these newsletters with a summary of my month,

But this month sort of defies simple summary. I've had some pretty high highs and low lows recently, so here's a list of times recently when I've been grateful I had my planner:
  • Special dress days and half days at school.
  • Planning the baby's first birthday party.
  • Prepping the garden for the fall.
  • Taking days off to protect my kids from hand-foot-mouth.
  • Trying to work from home to protect my kids from Covid.
  • Remembering what we have that we can cook for dinner.
Life feels hectic sometimes, and I've found myself leaning on the basic lifeline of a to-do list recently. It's a good reminder that planning is more than just a fun creative outlet, some times, more than others.

I hope your family is safe and healthy!
Here's what else I've been up to in September.

A fresh perspective

A year ago, I interviewed my husband about his new-at-the-time bullet journal for work, and got a lot of great responses.

I recently got him to sit down with me again for an update on how he uses his planner. I think it's a fascinating look into the process of someone outside the "planner community bubble". I hope you enjoy it too!
Countdown to Baby Insert

Sneaky Announcement

I hate making announcements, but I hate keeping secrets even more, so I tossed in a sneaky pregnancy announcement in the middle of my most recent planner flipthrough video.

I'm making it more explicit here now, and also over on Instagram. Keep an eye out for updates to come!

Coming Up

Despite the first trimester fatigue, I've still been plugging along designing tons of new inserts for you! In October, look out for a "yearly planning" theme as you get ready to think about setting up for 2022. I'm getting ready to launch more than the usual drop of annual planning inserts and general planner setup designs. I hope you find something that inspires your planning for the new year ahead!
